God of thunder And rock and roll The spell you're under Will slowly rob you of your virgin soul I'm the lord of the wastelands A modern day man of steel I gather darkness to please me And I command you to kneel Before the God of thunder And rock and roll The spell you're under Will slowly rob you of your virgin soul I'm the lord of the wastelands.

Known as Gene Simmons ' signature song, this was actually written by his bandmate, Paul Stanley, who had written it as a much more uptempo number about him being the "God Of Thunder" and Rock and Roll. Bob Ezrin, who produced Destroyer heard it, loved it, and much to Paul Stanley's chagrin, immediately gave it to Gene to sing.
