Overall, Sing Me the Songs is a very fine album. I didn't care for Rufus's version of Southern Boys, nor Antony's of Go Leave. Two clunkers on two full disks allows for plenty of excellent stuff. There are too many standouts to list. Now, the booklet: It REALLY annoys me/5(65).

Jun 21,  · A review of this album in the Guardian newspaper described it as 'glorious' and that really sums it up. There is much to be thankful for in the life and work of Kate McGarrigle; she wrote a good many fine songs; she produced two of the finest young artists to have emerged in recent years; she, with her sister Anna, had their own unique musical sensibility - nothing they wrote really sounds as /5(65).
