May 11,  · Sticking to the warm sound of vintage electronic sounds, Metroland’s excellent produced and mixed debut album “Mind the Gap” -dealing with daily commuting, railroad traffic and underground tube travel- is catchy and melodic.

Sep 26,  · The theme of debut album ‘Mind The Gap’ s thus railroad traffic and mostly underground travel. The trip spans over 13 (railway) tracks and begins quietly and beautifully with the warm arpeggio rich soundscapes built up in ‘Enjoying The View’. The feeling of going by train at moderate pace through Europe is really palpable.

Inspired by Komputer, Metroland takes the Kraftwerk aesthetics and sound further. Like Komputer, they also seem to be very smitten with London, in particular their public transport system. Song titles like “Mind the Gap”, “Harry Beck” (the man who designed the famous map of the London Underground) and “T.F.L” (Transport For London.
